Former NBA Welfare Committee Chairman urges lawyers to embrace compassion, mentorship, unity, and professional support during Eid-el-Kabir celebrations.
Former Chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) National Welfare Committee, Chief Emeka Ozoani, has called on members of the legal profession to embrace sacrifice, compassion, kindness, and mutual support as Muslim faithful celebrate Eid-el-Kabir across Nigeria and the world.
In a goodwill message released to commemorate the Islamic festival, Ozoani warmly felicitated with Muslim lawyers, colleagues, and members of the wider legal profession, describing Eid-el-Kabir as a sacred occasion rooted in faith, obedience, and devotion to God.
According to him, the celebration reflects the extraordinary sacrifice of Prophet Ibrahim and serves as a timeless reminder of selflessness, compassion, and commitment to higher ideals.
Ozoani stated that beyond legal advocacy and intellectual excellence, the true strength of the legal profession lies in the humanity lawyers show toward one another.
He stressed the need for senior and junior lawyers to continue supporting each other through mentorship, welfare initiatives, opportunities, and professional guidance.
The Senior Advocate of Nigeria noted that many legal practitioners currently face serious economic and professional challenges, making it necessary for members of the Bar to revive the spirit of sacrifice and shared responsibility.
He urged lawyers to deliberately build a profession founded on compassion, inclusion, empathy, and collective progress.
According to Ozoani, the legal profession would become stronger, more respected, and more united when practitioners intentionally support each other’s growth and welfare.
He also encouraged members of the legal community to use the Eid-el-Kabir celebration as an opportunity to deepen unity, peace, brotherhood, and cooperation within the profession and across Nigeria.
The former NBA Welfare Committee Chairman warned against division, bitterness, unhealthy rivalry, and internal conflict, urging lawyers instead to embrace collaboration and mutual advancement.
Ozoani further prayed for peace, national progress, prosperity, and renewed hope for legal practitioners and their families.
He concluded his message by wishing Muslim faithful a peaceful and blessed Eid al-Adha celebration.
