President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has directed Nigeria’s security agencies to immediately pursue and apprehend the perpetrators responsible for the deadly attack on a market in Niger State that left dozens dead and several others abducted. In a firm statement issued from the Presidential Villa, Tinubu condemned the assault in the strongest terms, describing it as an “atrocious act of violence against innocent civilians.”

The President called on the Nigerian Army, police, and other security forces to intensify their operations in the region, track down the attackers, and ensure they are brought to justice. Tinubu also urged security chiefs to boost protection for vulnerable communities and markets, which have increasingly become targets of bandits and violent groups.

Reaffirming his administration’s commitment to national security, the President expressed condolences to the families of the victims and assured Nigerians that no stone will be left unturned in restoring safety and peace in the affected areas.

Tinubu’s directive underscores the urgency of the situation and the federal government’s resolve to clamp down on terrorism, kidnapping, and violent crime as part of its broader security strategy.
