A touching story of compassion and faith has emerged from Abuja, as Mrs. Agnes Jimoh, a homeless widow and mother of six, received the keys to a newly constructed 4-bedroom bungalow—a life-changing gift from Kingdom Stars Gospel Centre under the leadership of Senior Pastor Peter Inyang.
Mrs. Jimoh, who had faced years of hardship and uncertainty, now has a permanent place to call home in Lokoja, Kogi State, thanks to the church’s humanitarian gesture. The symbolic key to the house was officially handed over to her during a thanksgiving ceremony held at the church last week.
“We celebrate Mama Agnes Jimoh, a widow whose resilience, dedication, and unwavering faith have inspired many,” Pastor Inyang said during the event.
He went on to describe the gift as an expression of what the Church should represent in society. “From providing her with a temporary shelter to building her a brand-new 4-bedroom bungalow in her hometown—this is what the Church was always meant to be: a living expression of love,” he stated.
Quoting Acts 2:44–47, Pastor Inyang emphasized the power of communal care and selflessness. “Today, we’ve seen the gospel lived, not just preached,” he added.
Mrs. Jimoh, overwhelmed with joy and emotion, broke into tears as she expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the church and Pastor Inyang for restoring hope to her and her children. “God has remembered me,” she said tearfully.
This heartwarming gesture serves as a reminder of the impact of faith in action, and the power of kindness to transform lives—one family at a time.
