The Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, has summoned an emergency National Executive Council, NEC, meeting for tomorrow, following Wednesday’s night invasion of the Labour House
Recall that heavily armed Policemen and others in mufti had late Wednesday night invaded the NLC Headquarters, Abuja, commonly known as Labour House.
The stern-looking policemen stormed the Labour House a few minutes before 9 pm and ransacked the Second and 10th floors.
According to information, “They broke into the second floor and ransacked offices including a bookshop and carted away several materials including books claiming that the materials were used to incite and organize the recent protest.”
Vanguard gathered that the NEC meeting is scheduled for 4 pm “to enable Labour leaders to determine an appropriate response to the invasion and related matters.”
It gathered that the meeting would be virtual.
