Welcome to All Times Global Magazine sir. Can you tell us a bit about yourself?
My name is Ikechukwu Ezeugwu and I am the Leader of Enugu State House of Assembly. Asides politics I specialize in financial planning, capital construction, corporate finance, financial quantitative analysis, research, strategy, cost budgeting analysis & forecasting and business modeling.
I am a result-oriented and dependable professional with proven track record of effectively initiating and overseeing various often composite projects. By the Grace of God, I bring to every table, core skills in strategic thinking, problem solving, analytics, people and stakeholder management.
Being a business man and Philanthropist with the highest academic degree, how did you combine those with politics successfully in the last 7 to 8 years or more?
My education and training prepared me to succeed as a businessman. It also prepared me for the vagaries of political life.
As a philanthropist, i have touched the lives of thousands in Enugu Indigenes and Igbos through scholarships and other community development projects. My quest to touch even more lives and a commitment to helping Enugu State’s further into development and positive projections dictated my sojourn into politics.
I remain committed to using my office as Leader of Enugu State House Of Assembly, to bring about development that will outlast my time and be used as a benchmark for good leadership in Enugu State and Nigeria.
We learnt you have a Foundation. How have you used that to touch lives while still in offi holding a political office?
Through my scholarship foundation, I have been able to train over 200 less privileged people through tertiary institution across diverse fiends and sectors.
Hon Ikechukwu Ezeugwu Scholarship Foundation is a personal volunteer-driven development organization transforming the society by empowering underprivileged children in various communities with quality education, entrepreneurial skills, and psychosocial support to enable them to realize their full potential and become social reformers.
We provide educational scholarships, create safe learning spaces, use 21st century pedagogy and technology to improve learning outcomes and provide several other health and psychosocial supports for underserved children in slums and hard to reach communities.
