Nigerians jubilate as Buhari Signs Electoral Act Amendment Bill

President Muhammadu Buhari has on Friday, 25th February 2022, signed the Electoral Act Amendment Bill into law after almost a month of tension and anxiety since he received the bill from the National Assembly.

The signing ceremony was held at the Council Chamber of the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

Among those present at the ceremony which began at about midday are the Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo; President of the Senate, Ahmed Lawan, and Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila.

All Times Global Magazine can as at the time of this report confirm that the President has given assent to the bill designed to strengthen the nation’s electoral process and deepen her democracy.
